Finding the right school bus part isn't always as simple as entering a VIN.

Chassis manufacturer.
Body manufacturer.
Build date.
Engine.
Brake system.
Electrical configuration.

Two buses that look nearly identical can require completely different components.

That's why the more information you have when identifying a part, the better.

Remember when troubleshooting meant listening, looking, and turning a wrench?

Today's technicians are just as skilled—but now they're interpreting live data, software updates, and diagnostic codes alongside the mechanical work.

Technology has changed the process, but experience is still the best diagnostic tool.

How has your day-to-day changed over the years?

The Unsung Hero

Every shop has one.

That technician everyone turns to when nobody else can figure it out.

The one who somehow knows exactly where to look.

Who was that person in your shop that taught you the most?

Give them a shoutout.

A school bus is more than just another vehicle.

It's the first part of a student's school day and the last part before they get home.

Every safe route depends on drivers, technicians, transportation departments, and the countless people working behind the scenes to keep fleets operating.

It's work that often goes unnoticed—but it makes a difference every single day.

Here's to everyone who helps keep the wheels turning.

One month it's HVAC.

The next month it's electrical issues.

Then suddenly everyone needs brake work.

Bigger coverage. Same commitment to fast, affordable delivery.

When we launched our enhanced shipping program in early July, our goal was simple: make it easier and more affordable for customers to get the parts they need.

Today, we're taking that one step further.

✅ Our free shipping zone has expanded from 9 states to 11 states.

Customers throughout our expanded service area now receive FREE parcel shipping on orders of $75 or more, while the rest of the continental U.S. continues to receive FREE parcel shipping on orders of $350 or more.

We've also continued improving our delivery network with:
✔ Expanded weekly delivery routes
✔ Multiple metro delivery runs
✔ Specialized shipping options for foam products

As we continue to grow, we're always looking for ways to provide more value, faster service, and lower shipping costs for the fleets, shops, and customers who rely on us every day.

Take a look at the updated map to see if your state is now included!

Another great year at the MAPT Train the Trainer Conference!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit with the teams from Midwest Bus Parts and Quality Bus & Truck. We had the opportunity to meet a lot of new faces, reconnect with longtime customers and friends, and continue building relationships throughout the week.

For the second year in a row, we were proud to host our Social Hour and Co****le (Bags) Tournament. The turnout was incredible, and it was great to see so many people come together outside of the classroom to network, compete, and have some fun.

Events like this remind us that this industry is built on more than buses and trucks—it's built on the people who keep them moving every day.

Thanks again to everyone who made this year's event such a success. We’re already looking forward to next year!

You're walking through your lot this morning.

Everything looks good...

But if you had to predict the next component that's going to fail on one of your buses, what would your money be on?

We've all been surprised before.
