Details to be given to dispatchers should be the address if known, mile markers, North or South or East or West of Beulah. Any other directions that may help with getting to the fire. Make sure you know your directions.

Until we get substantial moisture this will be a common theme. Be smart with all outdoor activities. Check trailer chains to make sure they don’t drag on the ground creating sparks. Check wheel bearings to make sure they aren’t getting hot. Don’t throw ci******es out the vehicle window.

Mercer County Commission updated the Fire Declaration and Burn Ban. The new fire ban will be based on the State Fire Index. The daily fire index can be found here:
