What is the best replacement floor for a wet or flooded basement that had carpet? Some folks want polished concrete, some may want LVT, some may say epoxy coating, or maybe a simple grind and seal.

Polished concrete is always a reasonable choice because it does not hold an odor like caret. BUT, id the basement may flood again, it may not be the best choice. Even though it is durable, it's not a great product for wet or potential wet areas, even toilets.

If you chose an epoxy floor, I would use a water based epoxy and then a water based urethane for a topcoat. Water based products allow the floor to "breath".

I don't know much about LVT floors but I hear they are waterproof and have a good warranty. Just don't put down plastic as moisture barrier. You are better off applying a moisture barrier primer.

Qe have had success with a grind, stain, and seal using a water based stain and then a 30% solvent based sealer.

Again, the solution depends on the moisture content of the concrete, if it may flood again, if there is an installed moisture mitigation system. Call us if you need us. 205-999-1337

A little video on how to clean a garage floor. I usually add half a cup of Windex and two a 3 gallon bucket with a soft bristle scrub brush.
