CODE PURPLE AIR QUALITY ALERT:
For the safety of our patrons and staff, all outdoor Greenbelt Recreation activities are suspended while air quality remains at very unhealthy levels. The outdoor pool will remain closed until conditions improve and all scheduled Recreation activities will be modified to ensure participants remain indoors.

Code Purple air quality indicates an increased risk of health effects for everyone, especially individuals with heart or lung conditions, older adults, children, and others who may be more sensitive to air pollution.

Staff will reassess operations as conditions improve and a return to normal operations will be announced once it is safe to resume outdoor activities.

🚧 Traffic Advisory: July 4 Preparation Underway 🇺🇸

Greenbelt Police officers and Public Works crews are currently on Kenilworth Avenue placing traffic cones and preparing for the City’s July 4 Celebration.

Please use extra caution, slow down, and stay alert for personnel working along the roadway.

The cones are being placed now to notify motorists that parking will not be permitted on Kenilworth Avenue on the day of the event. Your cooperation helps ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration for everyone.
