WEATHER ALERT — All Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) schools will be closed Friday, September 4, due to early morning storms that have left a large number of schools and offices without power.

Downed trees and power lines are also impacting recovery efforts.

12-month employees should report to work on time but are eligible for liberal leave. A list of impacted sites will be available on pgcps.org.

Please continue to monitor email, text alerts, the PGCPS website, and our social media channels for the latest information.

School is back in session, which means school buses are on the roads and many young children will be crossing our streets!

A reminder to all drivers passing through school zones this fall: please slow down, put your phone away, and allow extra time for your commute.
