Camryn Olivas is the Berthoud Weekly Surveyor Athlete of the Week. After a phenomenal freshman year in 2024 when she hit .474, Olivas exceeded her own expectations. "Hitting-wise, I made kind of a big jump," she said. This season, the standout sophomore hit a team-high
494. Olivas also had a team leading 38 hits, 34 RBls and nine doubles. From the circle, she maintained a 4.55 ERA with 38 strikeouts from 47 innings pitched. Heading to the state playoffs this weekend, Olivas said she is excited to see how far the team can go. Outside of softball, Olivas said her favorite high school classes are either pre-calculus or English.
