Not only do we offer comprehensive EFI tuning for air cooled Porsches but we also speak carburetors and programmable ignitions.

This is Kermit, Ian Carpenter's 1973 911 RS tribute with his self built 3.2 liter. He utilized an M1 cam, 10.5 compression, PMO carburetors and a 123 programmable ignition, along with a set of small tube SSI headers and a Dansk muffler. Ian is a savvy tuner himself and street tuned his car utilizing an on board lambda sensor and gauge to get the carbs dialed in for his new motor combination and it was a great base to optimize from.

We ended up with some small jetting changes, venturi size change and some extensive ignition timing adjustments utilizing 123's TUNE+ app and made a large change in smoothness and an increase in final peak horsepower and torque. Final numbers where, 272.9 hp and 240.4 ft/lbs (calculated to flywheel via Dyno Dynamics Dynotech software).

We had the pleasure of doing a re-calibration of this beautiful RSR inspired custom air cooled 911.

In the search for better performance, Will Pyle from Fairwinds Automotive replaced the cams and pistons with a carefully curated combination.

The Knight Race KR 75 cams and Apgar custom designed CP pistons used made an incredible difference to the efficiency of the motor with a 18-20 percent change in volumetric efficiency of the 3.4 liter power plant over its previous cam and piston choice.

With the combination of our Dyno Dynamics 450DS chassis dyno and the Maxxecu / Maxxtuning AB Street engine management system it made the calibrating of this setup a breeze and the dyno chart shows how happy the combination is with a broad area under the curve.

sessions.

Our Dynotech chassis dyno by Dyno Dynamics with
their newest version 9.5 Dynotech Pro software is
absolutely accurate and repeatable offering real time
horsepower and torque readings while doing ramp and
steady state loading that is imperative to building
accurate part throttle fuel and ignition maps.

It also offers CAN integration with Maxxecu_usa and other stand
alone engine management systems for absolute data
logging and various ways of outputting that data.

Standalone engine management calibration,

In those cases we offer fuel injector characterization services utilizing Greg Banish's fuel injector test bench.

The marvel of today's technology, data logging and "squiggly lines".

We spent some time this week with a client located in another state doing systems checks, first start up and some initial tip in tuning all done remotely over the Internet.

This Maxxecu managed, ITB, 3.4 liter Porsche is slated for chassis dyno tuning with us in New Jersey after completing some more initial adjustments and a full systems check.

This initial systems check and first start up service is available and included with the purchase of a engine management system from us at , even thousands of miles away from our facility.

We also offer our calibration services for any air-cooled Porsche Maxxecu customers that are in need of a calibration specialist as a separate pay service to analyze data logs, remote or in person dyno tuning or even technical consulting.
