Precision Drafting LLC We specialize in steel detailing of custom complex curved and elliptical shaped stairs, metal pan stairs and custom glass railings.

We also can provide 3D Laser field measuring. I started in this business back in 1983 as a junior steel detailer / material take-off person and worked my way up the ladder to running an iron division for a midsized steel fabricator in NYC. Back in 1995 was when I first became interested with CAD, just when the beginning stages of the internet and Microsoft Windows started. Since then, I have used

my CAD skills and many years of experience to work on some really complicated monumental stair projects. With over 39 years in the steel construction industry, 27 years consisted of detailing, 3 years of estimating, 5 years of project managing and 3 years of managing an iron division. I’ve estimated projects up to $3,000,000 and managed projects up to $1,500,000 in cost. Throughout my career I have detailed some highly complex miscellaneous iron items and some structural steel projects. Most of the jobs that I worked on were high profile projects. The types of jobs consisted of approximately 50% rehabilitation and 50% new construction. In 2001, I went on my own and started my own business using the computer to detail miscellaneous iron, ornamental and structural steel items on a fulltime basis. I presently utilize Nemetschek Group SDS2 2022, Autodesk’s AutoCAD Architecture 2021, SSDCP and Bluebeam Revu Extreme with my own custom library of details for preparation of shop drawings. With all my years of experience and extensive knowledge in this field, I can provide my customers with various other valuable services. Such as design consulting, estimating, material take-off, 3D Laser measuring and or project managing services if need be.
