Ed “Isky” Iskenderian, the legendary “Camfather,” first president of SEMA, has passed away at age 104.
A pioneer of post‑war hot rodding and a global leader in high‑performance camshafts, Isky helped transform a grassroots passion into a unified, professional aftermarket industry. His early leadership helped establish SEMA in 1963, giving manufacturers a collective voice and laying the foundation for the innovation, advocacy, and community that define the industry today.
We honor a true visionary whose legacy will live on in every engine, business, and enthusiast he inspired. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the community he helped build.
