🚗 We thought this was worth sharing again!
There seems to be some confusion.
You take your vehicle to an auto parts store such as AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts. Your check engine light is on, so you have them scan it and get a code.
That code is NOT a diagnosis!
A code can point us in the right direction, but it does not automatically mean that the part associated with that code is bad or needs to be replaced.
Think of a diagnostic code like a symptom. Just because you have a symptom doesn't mean you've identified the cause. You have to investigate what is actually going on before deciding how to fix it.
Let us find out what’s actually causing the problem before you spend money replacing parts that may not fix the issue.
Our motto: Diagnose first, replace parts second! We can replace whatever part you choose, but if the vehicle has not been properly diagnosed first, we cannot guarantee that replacing that part will fix the problem.
