Black wheels ⚫️🚗 and the maintenance needed to keep them looking fresh…. The first picture was the before pic. The second picture was after they were cleaned. If you pause the second picture and look deep into the hub, the brake dust/rust is caked on. Out of respect for the driveway and the owner, we did not use strong chemicals to get the deeper brake dust which then turned to rust. Even if the car was pulled into the street and we used those chemicals along w/ our long brush , it would not be completely removed. The proper way to handle this is to jack up the car and pull the wheels off to individually clean up to the point the dust /rust cant be cleaned and then the rest would need to be clayed or wet sanded off. In reference to maintaining these wheels… whether the wheels are gloss finished or matte/satin(hardest to keep clean), every wheel should be deep cleaned every month especially if they are paired with performance brakes and if the wheels are black. We’ve highlighted a few AMG Mercedes models with this problem and even Porsche has the same issues. The brake pads produce alot of dust and especially on black, they will cake on and rust if not maintained. Try to rinse deep in the wheels once a week.

Ceramic coating dirty test… we like to see how the ceramic coating applies on a dirty vehicle because this is part of the reason people get ceramic coatings…. to continue to pull dirt off the vehicle even when it has already attracted dirt and also its current level of being hydrophobic. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being highest for hydrophobic and thats right after a wash), this is at about a 7 or 8 which is great after 45 days after a wash. Ideally, washes should be done every 2-4 weeks when you have a coating and even more frequently if you dont have a coating since not having a coating leads to more dirt accumulation because it grabs onto the vehicle. Its important to see videos like these for your own research in deciding whether getting a ceramic coating is important for your vehicle. If you’re vehicle is on the newer side, its not mandatory to need a paint correction or enhancement prior but some may require it (scuffs and scratches happen). Anything more than 1 year old usually needs at least a 1 step paint correction if you havent had at least a wax on it. Everyone wants their car to stay cleaner for longer periods of time. Tires are often overlooked by the owner when it comes to addressing any cleaning issues on the vehicle. As long as the tire pressure light isn’t on, as the owner you think you’re fine. When we apply tire shine is when we get closer to the tires than most owners… and sometimes we see bubbles or in this case, a bubble that turned into a slit that was ready to pop at any given moment. This would’ve been a serious safety issue as he was heading on a 200 mile trip the next day. We advised the owner to get the tire swapped immediately and thankfully he did as he was able to go on that trip with a new tire. This was not driveable for more than 5-10 miles and even over 30mph. Something as small as this can wreck your vehicle and possibly injure yourself, passengers, and others ………. As a company that values doing the right thing and integrity when it comes to our customer service, this was a no-brainer to mention this major issue to the owner. We have other stories as well which we’ll get into in future posts. Take some time to walk around your vehicle and look at your tires(and rims) as well.

Preparation is critical when it comes to having a ceramic coating last longer than what the manufacturer says the duration will be. 💎
What you see in this video is Iron decontamination after the vehicle was washed and before we apply the ceramic coating.
The purple drips are the result of the chemicals doing their job to pull out embedded iron in the paint which will make it easier for the ceramic coating to fill those spots and hold on to the paint longer.
The other side of having a ceramic coating last long are washes that should be non abrasive as that will maintain the integrity of the coating. 🧼
We follow the iron decontamination with a claybar decontamination to remove the remaining fallout.
Boats need this preparation as well but more from the angle of salt removal before applying the ceramic coating and then it wont need to be waxed before the initial launch annually.

New Logo Reveal... as we started incorporating boat detailing last year, it was time to add it into our branding.
We are still doing car washing but only as a maintenance service bi-weekly or monthly for those that get a detail or ceramic coating from us.
The reason why we wont do one-off washes any longer is due to the fact that most people who just want a wash without using our services beforehand do not realize a single wash will not solve the true issues of the paint on the vehicle.
Some vehicles are so deeply contaminated or scratched or have paint removed from accidents that it simply doesn’t justify getting the premium washing techniques that we utilize and we simply don’t want to waste their time and money thinking that one wash will solve these problems when realistically they need hours of work to bring the vehicles back to an almost-new state .
For the boat side, pricing ranges from $7-$30/ft.
This price range is for maintenance washes inside and out all the way up to paint correction with a wax or ceramic coating.
