After 45 Years… The Rumors Are True!
Well folks, it’s official — Mike is actually retiring. Yes, you read that right. After four decades of fixing fenders, matching paint like a magician, and saying “just a couple more years,” Mike Bach Auto Body is closing its doors as you know it, while Mike and Marcia ride off into the sunset — hopefully in a dent-free car.
We’ve been incredibly lucky to serve this community for the past 45 years. What started as a small family shop turned into a place where we not only repaired vehicles, but also built friendships, shared stories, and got to know generations of amazing customers.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for trusting us with your cars, your business, and your support. Whether you came in after a minor fender bender or a major “oops,” you were always more than just a customer — you were part of the Bach Auto Body family.
To everyone who said Mike would never retire… we didn’t believe it either. But it’s time to hang up the paint gun and enjoy life beyond the garage. We’ll miss the buzz of the shop, the smell of fresh paint, and most of all — you.
Our last day will be May 16th, but the shop isn’t going anywhere — J&R Collision Centers will be taking over and continuing to serve customers with the same care and quality you’ve come to expect. They are a family owned and operated company from the Effingham area with a history very similar to ours. Jeremy Bach will continue to lead the same great team of employees in the shop as he has done for the last 20 years. They will also be bringing in new technicians and new technology that will allow them to continue the tradition of excellent service. We hope you’ll give the J&R Collision crew the same opportunity to earn your trust that you’ve so generously given to us over the years!
