State 7th & 8th Grade Discovery Quiz Bowl

We had 5 teams compete against twenty-nine other teams from across Oklahoma, at Depew. All our teams competed well, with one team bringing home the honors of State Runner-up.

State Runner-up team members: Liberty M., Quinn L., Alyse H., and Jacob L.

These young members, are going to obtain great accomplishments, as they continue through their FFA journey.

Kellyville 7th & 8th grade Quiz Bowl

A group of 7th and 8th grade students traveled to Kellyville tonight to compete in the quiz bowl contest. All of these kids did great for their 1st time with one team even bringing home 3rd place. Wish them luck for the state contest this Friday at Depew!

🏆Kai M. 3rd place Natural Resources

Kai will compete Friday evening at the State FFA speech contest on the OSU campus, Stillwater. This win tonight places her in the top ten speakers, in the state, competing in the Plant Science division. Kai will be competing against the other top two speakers from the SE, SW, NW, and Central Area FFA speech contest. Congratulations on your win tonight.

Twenty-seven of our members boarded the bus this morning at 5:15 to travel to OKC West, El Reno to compete in the AFR Cattle Grading Contest and compete they did. They brought home $4,000 in scholarships, 1 buckle, 2 team banners and 1 sorting stick.

Reid G.: 1st place high score overall FFA and 4H participants = $2,500 scholarship; 1st place individual FFA = buckle

Tripp H.: 2nd place high score overall FFA and 4H participants = $1,500 scholarship; 2nd place individual FFA = sorting stick

It’s been a very busy past week for Beggs FFA students.

⭐️Monday - Checotah Speech Contest
Lexie Ashcraft placed 3rd in her creed room. Kai Mitchell placed 2nd in her Plant Science room and 1st in her Natural Resources room.

⭐️Wednesday - Northeast Area Ag1 Quiz bowl
A group of freshman traveled to Skiatook for the area quiz bowl contest and placed 6th out of all the teams in the Northeast area.

⭐️Thursday - Seminole State CDE
6 students traveled to Seminole State college to compete in Veterinary Science and Electricity career development events. Both teams performed very well.

If you have the opportunity come out and show your support for the Beggs students as well as other FFA and 4H members from Okmulgee county.
