🔬 Looking for a fun family outing in New Hampshire? Check out the See Science Center in Manchester and keep an eye out for a familiar Wire Belt product! 👀
As part of SEE's newest exhibits exploring New Hampshire's manufacturing history, visitors can see our Compact-Grid® conveyor belt on display. While the Granite State was once known for weaving textiles, today we're carrying that tradition forward by weaving stainless steel belts used around the world.
"As kids study manufacturing in school, it goes back to this dirty, dangerous profession. It's really different now. We really wanted to highlight that. So we toured places like Wire Belt and you could see they're all about safety and ergonomics," Said Peter Gustafson, Deputy Director at SEE.
When asked how the exhibit connects back to SEE's mission, Peter shared:
"We want to encourage career choices and we feel that there's a lot of science and engineering in manufacturing nowadays. Getting kids interested [in science] at an early age has always been a goal."
We're honored to be included and grateful to Peter Gustafson, Adele Maurier, and the team at SEE Science Center for inspiring future engineers, problem-solvers, and makers.
