At Steve's Self Storage, my goal is to provide you with the most secure storage around, and excellent customer service. I live right here on-site, providing a level of service and security that almost no other storage facility can match. I also have 24-hour video surveillance and a very alert dog.

Attention valued customers!

After almost 20 years of analog business and record keeping, Steve's Self Storage is finally trying to modernize.

I'm currently in the process of developing a website, as well as an online rental and payment portal. Many of my customers just received an invite to the new payment portal. I assure you, that did come from Steve's Self Storage and is not a scam. Please bear with me as I try to learn this new technology. The objective is to create a more customer-friendly experience. However, I don't learn as quickly as I did 30+ years ago.

Over the next few days, as I figure things out, I'll snail mail all active customers about the new options they'll have available to them.

Steve's Self Storage and U-Haul on Fairground Rd in Bedford, KY currently has three different unit sizes/prices available at the most affordable rates around!

5x10 for $40/month.
10x10 for $65/month.
10x15 for $85/month.

The shipping container units have slightly different dimensions than our older units, but have the same, or more total square footage for the same price. For example, an 8x20 shipping container has the same price as a 10x15 unit, even though it has an extra 10 square feet of floor space. I should probably charge more for an 8x20, but I like to keep my paperwork as simple as possible, because I don't like paperwork!

New customers receive a brand new, Uhaul brand padlock. All Uhaul padlocks are uniquely keyed, and the lock is yours to keep.

It looks like we're in for some nasty weather, so Steve's Self Storage and Uhaul on Fairground Rd has brought a 20ft truck up by the street, and set it up for a 24/7 rental. It's not a 4 wheel drive vehicle, but it might get better traction than some vehicles, and Uhaul insurance isn't very expensive. If you have a job that doesn't allow you to take snow days off, you can use the Uhaul app on your phone to rent this vehicle, any time of day or night. You'll need to turn your phone's location services on, so the app will work properly.

As of 7PM this evening, I have a 26ft Uhaul truck set up for a 24/7 online rental. I normally wouldn't make a post about this, but if rising flood waters are about to destroy your belongings, I'd like for you to know that there's an option for you.

Dear valued customers,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the current economy has forced me to raise the rent. I just checked my records, and the 10x10 and 10x15 rent has only increased once in the last ten years. I hope you don't find it unreasonable for me to raise the rent twice in a decade, but I completely understand if you choose to seek alternative storage options.

On March 1st, 2025, the rent amounts will be as follows:

$40/month for a 5x10.
$65/month for a 10x10.
$85/month for a 10x15.
$100/month for a 10x20.

If you do as much online research as I have, I'm sure you will find my prices to be as good, if not better than the storage facilities in the surrounding area.

I greatly appreciate your business, and I look forward to providing you with clean, dry, secure storage, as I have since I started this business back in 2008.

We currently have two empty storage units available right now! The 10x10 unit is $60 per month with a $25 deposit, and the 10x15 unit is $75 per month with a $25 deposit. As always, new customers are given a brand new, Uhaul brand padlock, which is yours to keep!
