UPDATE on Allen Sargent
Dr called from Morgantown today. His cancer is stage IV. Allen's cancer is invasive and very aggressive. The cancer is a very large tumor on the neck that has invaded his thyroid, carotid artery, and jugular vein. The cancer has moved to both armpits and a questionable spot on his lung. They say this is incurable and the best they can do is chemo to try and shrink the tumors a little to make him more comfortable. We will go to Morgantown on Wednesday to see his ENT doctors and get a port put in. The following Wednesday they will start chemo and he will have appointments with the heart failure specialist, dietician, and pharmacist. We are still looking at many trips to Morgantown. Allen says he's ready to get this started because he's not done living. We still need all the help we can get. We are going to get some baskets together to raffle and raise money. Some friends are trying to raise money to help. We appreciate all those who have reached out to help. We love you guys!

UPDATE on Allen Sargent
Dr Najeeb just called. The PET scan showed that the cancer has metastasized to both armpits. This will change the treatment plan. Dr says his cancer is considered aggressive and non curable. They will still meet on Wednesday and talk about treatment to shrink the tumors to give him a little longer to live. It's not the news we wanted but it's what we got. They will try to make him comfortable for the time he has.
