RAIN STRIKES FOR THE FOURTH TIME THIS SEASON SATURDAY NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

NASCAR LOCAL RACING SERIES SET FOR NEXT SATURDAY JUNE 13 WITH A MODIFIED & SPORTSMAN DOUBLE HEADER

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – It was worth a try, but Mother Nature won again Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

With a beautiful partly sunny day and warm summerlike weather, Grandview Speedway forged ahead with the plan for the weekly Saturday night NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts program of T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds and Sportsman, only to have forecast rain arrive several hours earlier then anticipated, washing out the planned racing events for Saturday night June 6.

Race teams were already in place and about ready to hit the track for hot laps when the heavy line of thunderstorms that were originally predicted to arrive mid-evening, hit the Speedway, causing management to call off the race program.

Everyone in attendance that purchased a grandstand ticket or pit wristband can use them at another event on a Saturday night over the next two weeks but must turn in the ticket or wristband at the window of purchase and receive a new ticket or wristband for that evening’s program.

Attention now turns to next weekend as Grandview Speedway will be presenting another NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts program featuring the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds and Sportsman.

The show on Saturday, June 13 will include qualifying events for both classes leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature and a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
