💙 Happy Father's Day! 💙

Today, we celebrate all the dads, grandpas, stepdads, and father figures who lead by example, work hard for their families, and make a difference in the lives of those around them.

To the fathers within our BNI chapter, thank you for the dedication, leadership, and values you bring not only to your businesses, but also to your families and our community.

And to all the fathers and father figures in our extended BNI family and beyond, we wish you a day filled with appreciation, laughter, and quality time with the people who matter most.

Last week, our BNI chapter had the opportunity to hear from featured speaker Jackson Heller, owner of Heller's Town LLC

Jackson shared how his passion for drones turned into a business focused on helping companies see their marketing, operations, and properties from an entirely new perspective. From showcasing businesses in a more engaging way to saving time and money through practical aerial applications, he demonstrated just how valuable drone technology has become.

What made the presentation especially impactful was Jackson's use of real examples from our own BNI members' businesses, showing how aerial photography and videography could elevate each one. Backed by compelling statistics and realistic projections, he provided a glimpse into the future of marketing and advertising while highlighting practical ways businesses can stand out in an increasingly competitive market.

Thank you, Jackson, for giving us a bird's-eye view of what's possible and helping us see how reaching new heights can create new opportunities for our businesses.

Last week’s featured speaker at BNI Networking Professionals was Heather Scholz with Harvey Lewis Insurance Agency

Heather gave a very informative presentation on Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) — accounts funded with tax-deductible contributions that grow tax free and allow for tax-free withdrawals when used for qualified medical expenses.

Several of our members already utilize HSAs, while many others left feeling informed, intrigued, and eager to learn more about the advantages they can offer. We’re thankful to have friendly, knowledgeable experts right here in our hometown of Beaver Dam who are willing to help guide people through the maze of insurance and healthcare planning.

Last week’s featured speaker at BNI was Gary Neuman, owner of Garage Door Gary in Beaver Dam.

Gary gave the group a behind-the-scenes look at the mechanics of garage doors and what really goes into a proper installation. Members watched portions of an installation video while Gary added real-world insight and commentary from years of hands-on experience in the field.

One of the biggest takeaways was how much Wisconsin weather impacts garage door installation. Between snow, ice, melting slush from vehicles, and water discharge, proper installation becomes critical to protecting the mechanics and long-term performance of the door system. Gary also explained how insulation matters far more in our climate than it does in many other parts of the country.

Another point that really stuck with the group was when Gary said, “Your garage door is basically an entire wall of your house that moves multiple times every single day.”

With that in mind, it’s easy to understand why professional installation matters. From structural support brackets engineered to handle the weight and movement of the door to making sure every component is installed correctly for Wisconsin conditions, there’s a lot more involved than most people realize.

Last week at BNI Networking Professionals, we had the opportunity to hear from featured speaker Don Johnson of Napleton Chevrolet Buick GMC - Beaver Dam , and it was fascinating to see the science behind Luxcare XT protection in action. 🚗💧

Don gave a live demonstration showing how this nanotechnology-based interior and exterior protection helps defend vehicles against everyday wear and tear like spills, sap, salt, bugs, droppings, stains, and more. The protection helps preserve paint color and texture while also extending the life of interior fabrics.

What really stood out was the peace of mind this warranty-backed service provides customers, knowing their investment is protected long after they drive off the lot.

It was incredibly interesting to watch the technology work right in front of our eyes and learn more about how modern vehicle protection has evolved. Thank you, Don, for the informative presentation! 👏

There’s something powerful about someone who can teach through stories and that’s exactly what Cassandra Schmidt, Modern Woodmen of America does every time she speaks.

Through real-life style scenarios and generational storytelling, Cassie helps paint the bigger picture of why life insurance matters long before people think they need it. Too often, people wait until major life changes, unexpected situations, or debt start piling up before looking into protection for their family’s future.

Her presentations always leave the room thinking differently, learning something new, and reflecting on the “what ifs” we often avoid talking about.

We truly appreciate Cassie, her knowledge, and the way she connects with people through storytelling that sticks with you long after the meeting ends.

Last week’s featured speaker at BNI Networking Professionals was Anthony with BRH Enterprises LLC

Anthony brought in a wide variety of roofing and siding samples, giving everyone a hands-on look at the materials his crew works with every day on homes throughout our area. From color options to product quality, it was great seeing the craftsmanship and durability up close.

Last week’s Featured Speaker was Mike Stadler, owner of Big Mike's Automotive Repair and Machine Shop 👏

With 11 years of ownership and 32 years in the automotive industry, Mike brought more than just experience to the room—he shared what truly drives his business: people.

He spoke about the importance of the team around him, from his family at home to the employees in his shop, and how being able to rely on both makes everything run smoother. That same mindset shows up in how he takes care of his customers—focused on honesty, doing the work right, and never adding anything that isn’t needed.

Mike also touched on something a lot of us can relate to—fixing the problems that come from DIY repairs gone wrong. It’s that straightforward, no-nonsense approach that builds trust and keeps customers coming back.

Great job, Mike. A strong reminder that doing good work and treating people right never goes out of style. 👊

Last week we heard from TJ Monthie Jr., owner of AWPM Floors & More , as he delivered his first BNI feature—and he didn’t hold back.

TJ walked us through the materials he sources through his distributor and broke down what really separates his work from the big box stores. From product quality to long-term value, it was clear his approach is built around doing it right, not just doing it quick.

Big thank you to Rodney Stanton with Daizy Sweeps for taking the time to share his story and expertise with the group this week.

Rodney walked us through what really goes on inside a chimney system—and why it matters more than most people think. It’s not just about cleaning… it’s about safety, performance, and catching problems before they turn into expensive (or dangerous) situations.

We also got a look at the full scope of what Daizy Sweeps handles—from inspections and routine maintenance to full rebuilds, fireplaces, inserts, and more.
