We are currently seeking a full time diesel mechanic or technician. Large air conditioned shop. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with overtime often available but not mandatory. Starting wage is negotiable depending on skills and experience. Willing to provide training for the right individual provided that applicant has a mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair medium and heavy-duty trucks
- Perform repairs on diesel engines, brakes, HVAC, electrical systems, steering, suspension, exhaust, A/C, etc.
- Maintain accurate service documentation
- Meet time guidelines and maintain efficiency levels
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every piece of equipment is ready to perform safely and effectively when it leaves the shop.
Skills Required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- A self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision and demonstrates teamwork in a collaborative shop environment
- Willingness to continue learning
- Good communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- Be able to carry and lift up to 60lbs
