Hey folks, quick update on the offshore happenings for Benita J. We’ve been at the dock for the past three weeks. Fishing was so poor that we postponed a couple of trips because I couldn’t consciously take people out for a long boat ride. We finally got some decent reports, but now it looks like the weather won’t cooperate for the foreseeable future. That’s how it goes when you’re fishing the North Atlantic this time of year. I still have eight tuna trips to get in before bass season. We’ll be fishing every possible window to get your trip in, as long as your group is flexible. This time of year, the forecasts are only good for a day or two out, so when we get a window, we have to go. Here we are at Tom’s Canyon, three weeks ago, trolling through the pilot whales at sunset. Seems like a year ago. Tight lines!
