Customer asked if I work on whole home generators. I said yes I do work on them, this customer said it’s not starting. This particular unit is a Kohler generator, found a red blinking light on the control panel. And long story short it had low engine oil causing it to not start. And noticed it was way past due for maintenance. Changed oil and all filters (air and oil) along with new spark plugs. And tested the battery (yes they use small car batteries to start) And now runs properly. Now they are ready for hurricane season.

Customer was having a severe vibration while driving at speeds above 40mph. Found their cv axles literally coming apart. As the boots on the axles have been torn for a long time. And the there was no more grease for the trunnion joints (u-joints) and that was causing this issue. Replaced both axles and now can go up to hwy speeds,without the vehicle shaking

Long story,

So this customer brought me this transmission and said I need it to handle around 900 horsepower. I normally don’t do high performance builds or heavily modified transmissions. So I thought about it and said yes. I messed with it in in my down time as he wasn’t in a hurry. And after getting his car’s specs and contacting numerous vendors to source the parts and then making sure everything would work together. The amount of math and using formulas to making sure everything would work for what he was wanting was a task in its self. The only thing that was stock on this build was the transmission case. And with my name going on this build especially for my first time doing this was nerve racking as I want it to be perfect with my name being on this build. So after I finally get it all together. He picks it up and calls me a week later and says it’s perfect it slams into every gear and he couldn’t be happier!

Customer had issues with vehicle randomly stalling and setting a check engine light on for random things. And has been at numerous shops for this issue. This was all due to corrosion of the pcm due to a leaking wiper cowl. Got it all corrected and customer is extremely pleased.

Is your a/c not cooling on your skid steer? This one had a blown o-ring causing there issues and while I was here I went ahead and changed out the crankcase filter for preventive maintenance . Customer was pleased as summer is coming and now he has a/c again for the job site.

It’s been a bit since I’ve posted on here. But I had a customer contact me about there car overheating. I gave them a quote, and they asked my opinion if it’s worth fixing… yes I gave them my honest opinion and told them. No it’s not worth fixing and to sell the car instead of fixing it as it was going to be a high dollar repair. Due to car is older and has other issues, Customer was surprised at my response but also very thankful for my honesty.

This particular customer thought they were out of warranty. So they called me out to check there vehicle out. Found the problem, called the dealership due to the vehicle being fairly new to get part pricing. And I had the dealership run parts coverage as I had a feeling it might be covered and found out it was covered under warranty. This is the customer’s response..

Man Josh, that’s prolly the best news I’ve received in months! We’re gonna get on top of this right now——we truly appreciate you coming out and helping us get to the bottom of the issue🙏🏽🙏🏽👍🏽 It’s really nice to have honest help available to us, when it comes to our vehicles! Customer was saying when they would be taking off from a stop the front end of the car would jerk very badly. This was all due to a bad motor mount. Got it all replaced and customer was happy to have there car back in a few hours.

Customer was having poor air flow out of there air vents along with an odor while running there a/c.. a simple cabin air filter change corrected their issues.
