Most people call this time of year “Fall”. That’s because the leaves are turning colors, the weather is a little bit cooler and the calendar is actually telling us that soon it will be fall.

But here at Battle Lake Standard we call this time of year “Tire” season. Be ready for winter with new tires. Here is a list of rebates we have to offer from the manufacturers. Price will depend on your exact tires size. Give us a call or stop in with your size and we will get you a quote on that new set of rubber your vehicle needs to take on winter.

Six members of the Battle Lake Fire Department will travel with Father Ethen to New York City for the 25th commemoration of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in rural Pennsylvania.

Do you still do auto repair??? 🚗 That question has been raised more than a few times in the last couple weeks as people have been visiting our new showroom. The answer is a definite YES! The remodel has taken some of our shop space but we are without a doubt still a service station. That is what we started as in 1984 and that is what we will continue to be. So if your vehicle is in need of an oil change, new brakes, new tires etc. Step into our new service desk area and we will take care of you like we have been for the last 42 years. Please share so the word gets out that none of our services have changed. Thanks!

So we had some time this weekend to scroll through Dino’s camera roll and wow were we surprised! We had no idea how much traveling he actually did. From ❄️snowmobiling and skiing in the mountains, to the beaches 🏝️ somewhere, and apparently he even made it to Europe to see the sights. Our friendly dinosaur was busy. Make sure you welcome him back by taking a picture with him. He loves being in front of a camera! 📸

HE’S BACK!!! 🦕 We had no idea how popular our dinosaur was. There have been questions of Dino’s whereabouts every week since he went on vacation last October. He blessed us with his presence for the parade a couple weeks ago but he is now back in his permanent location. Please have the kids sit on him, take pictures with him but don’t forget to tag us in the photos!

Out with the old and in with the new. That has been the theme this week as we have been transferring from our old parts and service desk/room to our new showroom/parts/service area of the building. If all goes as planned with the transfer of phone and computer lines we will be in our new area next week. This is exciting for both you and us. This room has been a focal point of our remodel. You will now be able to see more of what we have to offer. Our Husqvarna handheld equipment will still be in the old room as we are waiting for new displays but the rest will be happening here at the new desk. Just walk past our bathroom area and enter through our old shop door. This is not a finished product by any means but a huge step in a new direction. Come check it out!
