Why does a mobile mechanic cost what it cost?
Itâs a fair question, especially when youâre comparing a mobile mechanic, an independent repair shop, and a dealership.
The biggest difference is where the work happens and what comes with the service.
When you take your vehicle to a traditional garage, you bring the vehicle to them. You arrange a ride, wait at the shop, get a rental, or leave the vehicle and figure out transportation.
At a dealership, youâre often paying a higher labor rate for a large facility, service advisors, manufacturer equipment, technicians, and all the overhead that comes with operating a dealership.
A professional mobile mechanic brings the repair shop to you.
That means our service vehicle, tools, diagnostic equipment, fuel, travel time, parts and supplies all come directly to your home, workplace, parking lot, or roadside location.
But there is another difference that matters.
Not every mobile mechanic operates the same way.
Iron Side Mobile Mechanic LLC is a legitimate business. We carry business insurance, stand behind our work, and provide a labor warranty on the repairs we perform.
That costs more than somebody doing side work out of the back of a pickup truck, and that is okay.
If something goes wrong, we don't want our answer to be, âSorry, you're on your own.â
We want customers to know who worked on their vehicle, what was done, what they paid for, and that there is a business standing behind that work.
You aren't just paying somebody to turn a wrench.
You're paying for:
-A mechanic who comes to you
-Professional tools and diagnostic equipment
-A properly equipped mobile service vehicle
-Business insurance
-A labor warranty
-Invoices and documentation of the work performed
-The convenience of avoiding a tow or trip to the repair shop
-Someone willing to stand behind their work
We know we won't always be the cheapest option, and we're okay with that.
Our goal at Iron Side Mobile Mechanic LLC isn't to be the cheapest mechanic in town.
Our goal is to provide honest, professional repairs, do the job the right way, and build a company our customers can trust.
Good work has value. Convenience has value. And standing behind your work has value.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support our small business.
