2004 BMW Z4 2.5

A hidden coolant leak brought this vehicle to the shop. The owner attempted to remove the manifold to identify the leak but became discouraged and put it back together.

We found the leak, made the repair, cleaned the intake runners as well as the throttle body and finished it off with new intake gaskets before sending it out.

2016 GMC Sierra 1500

Coolant temp sensor bottomed out and cooling fans running full speed. Prior to that issue the owner had no A/C. While testing the cooling and HVAC system we noticed the transmission fluid temps were hovering around 190+ degrees.

It’s ready to roll with engine temps at 195, transmission temps around 145 and interior temps so cold you’ll need a jacket!

2016 Dodge Ram 1500

A loud roaring noise brought this one in. Some people like larger wheel and tire packages… your wheel bearing will usually pay the price. One left front hub assembly and this unit was ready to hit the road.

2001 Chevrolet Silverado Z71

A video diagnosis of a noisy fuel pump got this truck scheduled for a weekday turn around last week.

A new OEM pump and fuel filter got this one going. Of course, while that bed was hanging in the air I steam cleaned that frame as a bonus!

2013 Kia Optima 2.4

This vehicle wouldn’t drive over 30mph and was running extremely rough. A trip on the rollback to Saluda was just what this one needed.

2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2WD 5.3

The owner attempted on several occasions to diagnose a noise in the rear driveline. He was unable to locate the noise even after running the vehicle on stands while using a stethoscope. With a pending camping trip he brought it to me last week.

A test drive and ride on the 2-post lift was all I needed to confirm the axle bearings were to blame. If you see this truck pulling a camper today get out the way, the owner is ready to relax!

Another used car inspection for the parents of a new driver. This truck is in really good shape for its age and only has 100k miles. We went through it and got it ready for the road.

2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 S

This started as a used car pre-purchase inspection. It seemed to be a good deal and after we provided a list of must repair items, the customer made the purchase and gave me the green light.

✅ Engine Oil and Filter
✅ Transmission Service to address a pan gasket leak and low fluid situation.
✅ Coolant filler neck and a few hose clamps corrected a coolant leak
✅ 4 TPMS sensors god that pesky light off on the dash
✅ Engine Mount keeps that 4 cylinder from dancing around under the hood
✅ Finished it up with a front marker bulb and a 3rd brake bulb that we handled for free👍👍

2023 Chevrolet Suburban High Country

It doesn’t have to be under the hood or accessible via lift for me to help you out. This one had a very basic issue… one of the rear seats was stuck in the folded position. A little time studying the complex mechanism revealed a worn cable and tether strap were preventing the safety mechanism from allowing the seat to return to the upright position.

After a little parts delay due to the weather event last week we got it squared away and ready for a car full of passenger.

2016 LandRover LR4

We fixed some leaks, old plastic parts failed and we fixed some more. Sometimes when you fix a leak the pressure finds the next weakest link.

Coolant loss, running rough and loss of communication brought this in the first time.

✅ Waterpump
✅ Pump to Cooler Pipe (Aluminum Upgrade)
✅ PCV Valve Diaphram

The truck left and made it to Hendersonville, NC before some “spirited” mountain driving prooved to be too much for the 10 year old plastic thermostat housing. The owner also wanted to service the transmission while it was here.

✅ Thermostat Housing (with new thermostat and temp sensor)
✅ Transmission Service (replacement pan with internal filter) and cooler flush.
