A client was tired of fighting thousands of small blisters on his Catalina 27 and asked us to redo the bottom. An owner before him likely barrier coated the bottom too early in the day trapping in moisture. This led to THOUSANDS of tiny blisters that were popping through the barrier and eating into the gel. Always follow the manufactures specifications so you don’t pay more in the long run.

We completed this restoration earlier this year for a client. Full paint and structural upgrade along with some custom carbon and canvas. The “Fifth Child” should be ready for a few more generations of enjoyment.

After some blood, a lot of sweat, and a blown tire on the haul, Strider made it home. The owner even reps our name and logo all over his boat. IN CHICAGO! One of our biggest jobs we've done and she turned out awesome. Full gelcoat restoration and ceramic, custom decals by Swell Signs, custom carbon fiber hatches by Brothers Ritter, tons of Lanex cordage, some serious custom rigging, a racing bottom faired and painted, and SO MUCH MORE....Seth was 53 miles from me on Lake Michigan (he was finishing the Ultramac and had sailed across Lake Huron and Michigan nonstop which is pretty badass- don't tell him I said that) while I was at the yacht yard.. but I made home to KC before he made it in to Chicago. Pops and I did not, however, get fireworks or cocktails served to us upon arrival... I did have a drink, though. 😎
