FleetCon is one of the few rooms where you can walk from a street sweeper to a dump body to a marked patrol unit in about forty feet — and everybody in the aisle knows exactly what they're looking at.
We brought our F-150 demo up to Loveland for FleetPros' 50th year and spent the show doing the one thing that doesn't translate to a PDF: letting fleet managers open the doors.
Three things came up in almost every conversation:
**Spec continuity beats unit price.** Nobody wants to re-learn an upfit every model year. The cheapest bid that changes your mounting pattern isn't the cheapest bid.
**Lead time is the real planning problem.** Everything downstream of the order date is a guess until the order date is real.
**Most fleets aren't buying one kind of vehicle.** They're speccing patrol, admin, parks and public works — and running four separate procurement conversations to do it.
That last one is why our banner lists eleven franchises. Ford, Chevrolet, Ram, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Nissan, Kia, Honda, Mazda, Lincoln — one dealer group, one fleet contact, whatever the department actually needs.
Thank you to FleetPros for a genuinely well-run show, and to everyone who climbed into the truck and told us what they'd change about it. That's the useful part.
If we talked at the booth and you're building an FY27 spec, reach out — we kept notes.
