Due to the weather there will be no trips from now until Mon Sept 28th at the least. Everything is cancelled until then. We will look back at it over the weekend and try to schedule things for next week if possible.

Fri Sept 18th trip report and current weather update:

Hello folks,

Capt Tom had his redemption after wed trip was tough. Totally different animal a day and a half later on Friday. The 4 man crew went to work catching fish almost the entire trip landing over 70 fish total and had 4 k in the boat and dropped 2 others at the net and Capt Tom hooked a fish that he couldn’t move and it came unbuttoned, bummer! But very very good compared to weds trip. With that being said and the upcoming weather and most boats saying the same thing, I agree. The 2026 Fluke season is now over for us. Everytime we have a hard NE late in the season the fluke tend to start migrating out offshore to get ready for there winter spawn in the canyons. Seems to be clockwork and we have seen it for a decade so we are going to switch gears and jump into our fall fishing starting sometime next week when the weather lets up.

And blowfish trips will now make up the rest of the season.

We are going to put the flat fish stuff away for the year and want to thank everyone who came up fluking with us. And look forward to spring 2027 fluke!

Wed 9/16 Fluke marathon report and upcoming schedule:

Hello folks,

Capt Tom reports a typical fall type of day today for our fluke marathon. This time of year we won’t pass anything that pops up in front of us as we have to take what the bay gives us. So today started chase a pile of albacore that none wanted to eat besides 3 long bluefish underneath them. After that Capt Tom switched to the fluke and began picking and plucking threwout the tide. Unfortunately today no matter what areas were tried the keepers did not show as he boated over 40 fluke for the guys and no dice. 8 fish over 17.5” and just couldn’t get the extra .5 today. But while fluking they rudely got interrupted by the biggest bluefish blitz we have seen in 2 or 3 years now and slammed on blues from 2-4 lbs for the remainder of the trip in the shallows. The guys landed over 30 of those too keeping some for the table. Capt Tom even stayed an extra hour n a half late to try a few extra spots and still the same.

Definitely not from lack of trying but that’s how it goes sometimes.

Upcoming schedule:

Blowfishing remains as good as you get.

Plugging trips next week are showing very very high potentials as we have the right tides lined up with the evening finally. And there’s been a bunch of stripers and blues around now that the water is cooling down.

Our blackfish/ trigger trips will start picking up again next week too as we should have stellar fishing for the next month and a half for that as well.

We still have room on Fridays fluke marathon as they may be our last fluke trip of the season. So if you wanna give it a shot that’s the time. Last few trips have had from 30 to 70 shorts with up to 5 k on our best.

9/15 pm blowfish trip report:

Hello folks,

This will probably be the shortest report I ever wrote. Insane blowfishing this afternoon! Absolutely couldn’t get any better double headers and singles as fast as u locked your reel all afternoon. Called it quits 30 mins early bc the crew had there fill. Caught over 200 plus in 3 hours and kept 130 for the 3 man crew. Capt Frankie was a cutting machine and had the guys out of there in the blink of an eye! (All those years on party boats cutting fish really came back out of him today!)

If you wanna blowfish now is the time do not wait it simply can not get any better. Haven’t seen it this good in the last decade.

Saturday 9/12 trip report and new trip added dates:

Hello folks,

Capt Frankie had Jesse, Kenny, Mike and Randy out for a combo trip for blues and fluke today. Trip was for Kenny’s 22nd birthday! Happy Birthday Kenny! Left the dock went to the area we last had blues out to find nothing. Moved to another spot and had nothing there either. Capt Frankie went back and forth between giving up and going fluking right away or taking a long ride. In the end the decision was made and the long ride was taken and boy was it the right decision! Had blues and jacks competing for the poppers as soon as we made our first drift til things slowed down 45 mins later. The boys went to work and ended up landing around 18 bluefish and 10 jacks keeping 15 blues for the table and the few others we tossed back. Also released all the jacks. Onto fluke! Ran back to where we fluked last weekend to find a slow pick to start but grinded it out and it worked. The boys ended up landing 30 shorts and 2 keepers in the remaining time and lost two other keepers at the boat. Probably had double the amount of bites as fish as well. All in all another great day out on the water.

The remainder of September Schedule update:


Hello folks,

Below are the remaining trips and dates for Sept. Just a reminder Fluke season closes for the year on Sept 25th! Get out while we’re able too! The bay has heated up again just like the last few season we get another push of late season fluke into the bay that are gorging themselves with all the bait that is inside. We will push for more blowfish trips as we keep getting people asking and the fishing has been very good. Sizes seem to vary on the day but good fishing. Pm plug trips will only get better from here on out as well as our tog/trigger fishing.
