Thanks to this “wonderful” weather, J3 Marine is CLOSED today due to heavy rain and flooding. And it’s not even high tide yet!

On the bright side, the parking lot is starting to look like a wonderful fishing spot. 🎣😂

25 YEARS LATER - WE REMEMBER.

On September 11, 2001, as our nation faced one of its darkest days, hundreds of thousands of people found themselves trying to leave Lower Manhattan.

Transportation throughout the city was severely disrupted. Along the waterfront, people searched for another way out.

Then the U.S. Coast Guard put out a call:

“All available boats…”

And the maritime community answered.

Ferries. Tugboats. Fireboats. Commercial vessels. Private boats. Captains and crews headed toward Manhattan, not knowing exactly what they would encounter, only knowing that people needed help.

In the hours that followed, an estimated 300,000 to 500,000 people were transported to safety by water in what became the largest waterborne evacuation in American history.

For those of us who make our living on and around the water, September 11 carries a powerful reminder of what the boating and maritime community can be.

When people needed a way out, boats became lifelines.
When help was needed, mariners answered the call.
And in a moment of unimaginable tragedy, ordinary people used what they had to help complete strangers.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, J3 Marine remembers the 2,977 lives lost and honors the first responders, service members, mariners, volunteers, and countless ordinary Americans who stepped forward to help.

May we never forget those we lost.
May we never forget those who ran toward danger.
May we never forget what Americans are capable of when we come together.
