The weather has kept us tied to the dock lately with these damn nor’easters, but we’re looking forward to getting back out after them.

October is right around the corner, and we’re expecting the fishing to be lights out after the storm. Then we’ll be switching gears for big bluefin and striped bass through November and December.

Hopefully we can get a break in the weather and get back on the water soon. October, November and December should be a hell of a way to finish out the season, and we still have availability!

18 YELLOWFIN IN THE BOX!

Had an awesome group of veterans out with us yesterday and put together an absolute banner of a day trip offshore, coming home with our six-man limit of yellowfin!

The tuna fishing is ON right now, and if the current trend continues, it’s only going to somehow get better. More waves of fish should continue to push west, and September and October are shaping up for some of the best tuna fishing of the season.

We still have a handful of September and October dates available. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to get offshore for yellowfin, this is it.

We put together a hell of a day trip offshore yesterday out of Barnegat Light, boxing up 9 yellowfin, a pile of mahi, and some hammer golden tiles up to around 40lbs!

If you want to get offshore, don’t wait until it’s too late. September and October are usually some of the best months for tuna fishing, and we still have a few dates left to fill for day trips and overnighters.

Felt good to get back into the tunas after a slower week! We ended up going 4/6 on some nice-class yellowfins yesterday, with some decent mahi to top off the box!

We still have some availability in mid-September and October. The chunk bite should hopefully really start heating up around then, similar to last year, with some great yellowfin fishing once the water temps start to cool down. Once November rolls around, we’ll be looking for bluefin and striped bass to keep the action going!

Don’t wait until the last minute to book — these dates will fill up quickly once the fishing really gets going. If you’re looking to get out this fall, now’s the time to lock in your date!

One of the coolest parts about offshore fishing is never knowing what you might catch. Here’s an absolute stud of a NJ mahi from the other day! This fish measured out at about 55”.

Had another banner day up north today, going 13/16 on yellowfins! The fishing is as good as it gets right now and should stay strong well into the next few months.

We still have a few spots left for our open boat this Wednesday, August 19th. We also have August 26th available for a private trip, along with a few dates left in mid-September.

The Bodacious is officially up in Barnegat Light and we’ve already gotten off to a great start so far on the yellowfin. We ended up 8/8 on yellowfin and also had 2 white marlin yesterday!

We’re going to keep the boat up north for a while with the good tuna fishing and throughout the striper season. We also have an open boat trip this Wednesday, August 19th with spots available.

September and October are also typically the best months for tuna, and we’re starting to fill up those dates now. If you’ve been thinking about getting offshore this season, now is a good time to get your date locked in before we’re completely filled.
