The Race Matters Institute (RMI) began its journey more than a decade ago within the Annie E. Grounded in the Race Matters Toolkit, the demand for proven, research-driven tools grew to such a degree that moving outside of the foundation was a way to make Race Matters training and its expert trainers more widely accessible. RMI builds the organizational capacity of our clients to use race-informed

research, data, and proven strategies to improve mission performance. Our model centers mission performance and personal agency. Racial equity is everyone's job, and everyone has a role to play. Today, RMI has worked with clients in every major sector in more than 30 states.
