Today you may have seen the Elmira Fire Department at the parking garage doing some training. Crews were working on ways to get water to all sections of the garage in the event of a incident.

Pictured is one of the methods we practiced, using our aerial ladder to supply water through a valve connection at the tip, creating a quick, makeshift standpipe connection when needed.

Training like this helps us think through different scenarios and be better prepared when the call comes in!
