I know people have been looking for updates so:
The Tiburon hood mold has been through 2 successful test runs and simply need some fl**ge work to be ready for production.... FINALLY. Pics coming this weekend.

In the mean time the wide body MR2 fenders have been finalized and are ready to mold after thorough scrutiny. These will be available for purchase in the fall in both carbon fiber and fiberglass. Pricing TBA, but as always will be competitive.

As an added bonus for those wishing to keep the stock AW11 look but have cancerous sheet metal, stock sized fenders are coming as well as an alternative to welding our aging materials.

There is one other project that may not excite most but is a world first and will initially find their home on a certain before going on sale. That will be revealed this weekend as well.

Things have been a little slow in July while some of the boring business details were being worked out. As soon as possible expansion is a must so I do appreciate everyone patience during the slow periods. Trust me, I'd rather be in the shop than filling out paperwork as well.

The black spots represent low spots that have been filled. This mold is finally ready for another prototype! Tomorrow it gets an extra fine wet sand from 600 down to 3000 grit, then wax and release film. Expect updates with test fitment shortly.

It's been a while since I've updated. Sadly I had to shut down for a couple months for family reasons but I'm back at it. Today I am working on the RD2 hood and a custom fender job that I'm test fitting on a customer's car tomorrow! These will be for sale after he receive the initial set, expect pics soon.

The first prototype hood has been sitting outside to weather (not fit for sale don't panic) and I'm glad to say it survived a hell of a beating! Including 4 tornado warned storms in a row a couple days ago! It's been pelted with debris, sun bleached and roughed up but stands the test of time! A little [lot] dirty but still as strong as ever. This was just the test I needed so after a few mods to the mold to fix the prior problems I think we're just about ready to move them. After the prepaid customers receive theirs I'll post weight figures and final details. No ETA yet but I'm going to jump back on frequent updates.

A quick update: I regret to say that things have been slow because the shop has been very unexpectedly closed due to a family situation. I was in fact able to do the prototype test fit over the weekend and the results were favorable on that front. That said I would like slightly less panel gap so continued work on the mold is necessary and as imaged below the unfolding did yield a small previously unseen imperfection. I will update Friday after the shop reopens and some work can be done on the hood. I also have another project that will get a much needed update as well.

Thanks as always and stay tuned.

More pics will be available once test fitment is complete.

Late update but I caught the plague that's been going around and then lost power last night. Around 5am this morning I finally got the final prototype out of the mold and I have to say it looks good! I'll clean it up, cut it out and get you guy some better images mounted on the car some time this weekend. I'll also get the weight, and trust me, it's crazy light!

As expected there is some yellowing and other issues which means this is not a version for sale. I tested a few different types of epoxy resulting in the yellowing in a few locations. This was just a test and not indicative of the final product.

Do however take note of the image of the weave notice it remains tightly packed and firm. You'll not see runs in the fabric or waves normally seen in wet layups. Our products are vacuum sealed to -30" (or better) and then epoxy resin in drawn into the mold via valved inlet veins. This ensures that the fabric does not move while the liquid epoxy is applied not during it's initial heat phase during curing. It also promises optimum saturation so that minimal epoxy is required for same strength.
Roughly 2 pints of epoxy are used overall to keep weight down.

Stay tuned for final test images and images of the first production hood that has some very unique features.

We're all about supporting amazing builds here and I can't think of a more amazing display of fabrication skills than Project Binky! A brand new episode just dropped an hour ago. If you're not already familiar with this project now is the time to fix that!

It also may be the best mesh of fabrication and British humor this side of Top Gear reruns. Except with actual welding and less duct tape

In episode 15 of Project Binky, we wrestle with brake lines and fuel lines, make a couple of reasonably nice braces for under the car, argue over P clips and...
