2008 6.4L Powerstroke Owned by the man the myth the legend… Erik Peterson. Let’s just call this project snowball because boy did it snowball and continue to snowball into a finished product so far off course from what it initially started as because “while we are there we might as well do this”… times 1000. 238,000 miles with blown head gaskets doesn’t exactly put someone in a great position especially with a 6.4 because it’s at the mileage and overall age that it’s due for a reseal, it’s due for a cam and a set of lifters which all require engine removal and being a small displacement high revving engine like 6.0s and 6.4s are with the added factor of the tuning from 2012 known for killing these engines by melting them to a crisp you are money way ahead to go all in and do a full rebuild which is what this job turned into. For this truck i put together an engine I’ve been calling a “ BDP Stage 1 Towmaster” only for giggles which features pretty well every product on the market to make a 6.4 reliable and an absolute power and torque monster and a perfect setup for what this guy uses it for which is towing..

I greatly apologize to anyone and everyone who has reached out in the past few months and not heard back from me or experienced a delayed response time, it has been an absolute riot around here since the new year and Ive been so busy I was left with no choice but to stop answering the phone. This is not to be taken as an advertisement for builds of this caliber or especially in-house powder coating but much more to just be a showcase because although I’d love to do these builds everyday it does take me much longer than what i say is reasonable to complete a job this size and to this level of quality being that this is only a part time business for the time being which leaves me with a very small window of time in the evenings and weekends to run what has very quickly became a second full time job…
