Happy from all of us here at McWilliams & Walden Inc.! Today we’re spotlighting the St. Vincent de Paul Center and the event they have coming up that you won’t want to miss!

ANNUAL FALL BBQ

St. Vincent de Paul Center’s biggest fundraiser of the year will take place:

Thursday, October 1
4:00–7:00 p.m.
Tickets: $35 each

Each ticket includes a steak or chicken dinner, side dishes from Wool Growers Restaurant, a dinner roll from Pyrenees Bakery and dessert from College Donuts.

Guests can attend the event and tour the center to learn more about its work. A drive-through pickup option will also be available for supporters who cannot stay but still want to purchase a meal and help serve the community.

Join H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection for a welcoming community event supporting people with disabilities and the families who love them.

The Bakersfield Buddy Walk is part of a nationally recognized effort promoting Down syndrome awareness. Heroes for Hearts, organized by H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection, recognizes and supports people with all disabilities.

Attendees can enjoy:

• A kid zone with games and face painting
• Family-friendly contests
• Informational vendors
• Food and merchandise vendors
• Opportunities to connect with other local families

Funds raised will help H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection provide support groups, family activities, advocacy assistance and other essential resources not fully covered by its grants. Fundraising also allows the organization to travel throughout the region and reach families wherever they live.
