Hello, everyone!

I, Briah Linn Cravotta, am so excited to share the news that I was nominated and selected to be featured in June’s edition of Tow Times magazine as a Woman of Towing.

I have followed Tow Times magazine since I was a kid. From the days of dreaming of driving a truck to being a face in a magazine next to a truck we built. This experience is surreal to me. I’d never have imagined at 30 years old, I’d be recognized as the face of a company I’ve given my all to my entire life. I am very humble, and I don’t give myself the credit I should. I honestly don’t know how to act being the center of attention for something that means so much to me. Many people assume as a woman, I’m behind the scenes. It isn’t that way for me. I am hands on, learning, training, recovering, towing, and struggling out there with the rest of our industry, so I never really saw myself as anything special or out of the ordinary. I was just me doing what I knew to do.

I have worked as hard as I possibly could these past few years when I was put to the test. Life has thrown some curveballs at me, but I never gave up. I pushed harder and harder to prove to everyone that I can do this. And to be recognized for that from such a large platform in the towing industry worldwide is mind blowing to me. It’s honestly emotional. Some people doubted me. Some people still do. But I believed in myself, even when I wasn’t totally sure. I gave 150% when others only had to give 50%. It’s hard being a woman in this field, but I NEVER let that be a crutch for me. I just see myself as “another one of the guys” doing what they love to do.

For those of you that know me personally, you know that this has been my passion since I was walking and talking. For those of you that don’t, please take the time to know me and let this small snippet of my life show you how much this all means to me. This is my destiny, and I truly am so grateful for each and every person who has supported our business, our family generations, and me to this day. If it wasn’t for my family, my husband, my friends, our communities, our first responders, and our customers, this never would’ve been possible.

I love each and every one of you, and I truly thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Please know this isn’t just a job to me. This is my lifestyle. This is what I love. This is what I was born to do. Thank you for supporting our business for the last 41 years, and I hope that you all will allow me to continue to service you for years to come 💙

Just wanted to share a few photos a customer took today of our service 📸

His GTO broke down on him while en route to a car cruise. We promptly responded to his location, got him loaded up, and dropped in his garage so he could hopefully get it back running again for the upcoming summer!

Keep in mind we are well equipped with soft bridles, race ramps, air ride/dump, & an LCG bed to handle all your low clearance & classic car hauls if needed! 🙂

✨ The infamous Dodge Ram of Conway Walrose Road in Economy Borough has been rescued ✨

A customer delivering food Friday night found herself in a predicament when an unplowed, very narrow driveway sent her truck careening over a steep embankment while attempting to turn around. She contacted our company initially, which we were more than willing and able to respond. However, she wanted to try to avoid out of pocket costs since she had AAA and roadside through the vehicle. We understood and told her to call if she changed her mind.

Friday, Saturday, and the majority of Sunday the vehicle remained suspended in this position. Six companies were sent to the call via AAA or Roadside. None of the six were able to perform the duty. Now before it sounds like we are bashing others, please understand we are not. Many times the third party dispatch of AAA/Roadside does not relay information as needed. They give the tow companies minimal information to hopefully get a minimal price to save them costs without the best interest of their customer. They want to bid out the job at the cheapest price without the driver/company understanding the severity of the job, which is dangerous. Things like this are often marked as “slightly off driveway”, “spinning in snow”, “only 5 feet from roadway”, etc. Which as you can see in the photo, this is not a “simple winch out”. The vehicle is at a steep grade, the driveway is solid ice, & there is not enough room to get the tow truck directly in line with the truck to recover.

The customer finally called us back Sunday night exhausted after days of being unable to get her vehicle. We came out ASAP, as it was nearly dark which can make a situation more difficult to navigate. We began our rigging at 6:05PM. At 6:24PM, the vehicle was back onto the solid driveway. The customer was ecstatic. The truck was not damaged. The homeowner was happy. Quite often it’s not in the time or distance of what you pay. You pay for the skills, the knowledge, the equipment, and the abilities. Yes, it required additional equipment and quite a bit of length of synthetic line to do. Yes, we had to sn**ch block to a large tree. Yes, we had to change direction of our line & ensure our truck was anchored in the correct direction on the icy driveway. But we did it, and we had a happy customer in minutes.

Please don’t always rely on your roadside dispatch companies to have your best interest. Most times they do not have yours or the tow company’s. It is crazy these third party dispatch companies tried to let six other tow companies work for pennies knowing the severity of a call like this. You cannot give minimal information & minimal payment, yet expect a tow company to use additional equipment & work harder for nothing.

We have been in business 40+ by always being willing to learn, practice, train, and give our best doing what others don’t like to do. We pride ourselves in our entire business being based on customer satisfaction and community reputation. We thank each and every one of you that choose us and continue to support us. You are the reason we are still standing today and hope to be for many years to come!

Just wanted to give a GIANT thank you to Elements Landscape Management for their TREMENDOUS assistance with the removal of the snow on our lot today with their large loader machine!

If it wasn’t for them, our trucks still would be buried in during this chaos. We quite literally had TONS of snow removed today, and they made it possible! Otherwise our trucks ran the risk of not being able to navigate out of our lot/garage to assist our community today. So not only did they help us, but they helped all the communities we service by doing so!

Such a wonderful family owned and operated business that has always gone above and beyond! Thank you so much from all of us on a personal level!

These last two days have been crazy. The roadways were treacherous and covered, not to mention nearly impossible to keep up with cleaning. Just clearing our lot alone today required a large front loader machine to remove the TONS of snow. We had somewhere at least to put our snow, which was a privilege. It is so difficult to navigate narrow roadways and plow over 12” of snow in between obstacles with nowhere to pile it. A full plow with 12” of snow can quickly become an 8’ mound. I don’t think many average people recognize the skill and precision it takes to handle a situation like we had. Don’t cry about your car being plowed in. Grab a shovel & be grateful you can see the road!

That being said, we at Harvey’s just want to give a HUGE shout out to all our local road departments in Ambridge, Baden, Harmony, & Economy. You guys KILLED it out there. We couldn’t ask for better crews! You all deserve some well needed rest and tremendous amount of appreciation!

PennDOT also kept up very well for the conditions we were dealt! We saw plenty of trucks out there putting in work! Great job to you as well! We are truly thankful!

Also want to give a shout out to all our first responder services that put in extra time and effort to keep our communities safe during this chaos! You guys kicked ass out there before roads were even safe to travel!
