The Lonestar Round Up is a huge car show with amazing rides driven here from all over the country, and attracts visitors from all over the world. And because its Austin, its also a live music festival with bands playing for you onstage all weekend and features some seriously talented artists, pinstripers & unique shopping. Enjoy great food and cold drinks with folks and friends and families as you get together for a special Texas-sized scene like no other.

The show keeps rolling for you TODAY at the 23rd Lonestar Round Up, Saturday April 18, at the Travis County Expo Center. The grounds are packed with killer hot rods, custom cars, vendors, the swap meet, and a live music lineup built to keep the party rocking all day long. We kick things off with Johnny McGowan’s Rugged Gents, then honky-tonk hellraiser Dale Watson and His Lone Stars take over. Straight from Tokyo, rock ’n’ roll samurai Johnny Pandora tears up the stage, and Austin surf supergroup The Thunderchiefs return to send it home in style. Gates open at 10am. The 23rd Lonestar Round Up starts TODAY, Friday April 17th, at the Travis County Expo Center. Austin’s legendary Texas-sized car show and music fest is ready to roll. Gates open at 10am for general admission wristbands, just $20 for entry Friday & Saturday. Kids under 12 are FREE and so is parking. Qualified vehicles, American made and 1963 or earlier, can register at the gates to be part of the show. Live music starts at 11am with the jump blues swagger of Morry Sochat & The Special 20’s, followed by master Telecaster picker Redd Volkaert. Hometown favorites The Peterson Brothers bring their powerhouse mix of blues, funk, and soul, then Messer Chups close out the day with wild horror punk energy and vintage surf sounds straight from Russia. ONE MORE DAY TO SHOWTIME! the Lonestar Round Up kicks off tomorrow - Friday and Saturday April 17 & 18 at the Travis County Expo Center. Today is the Welcome BBQ from noon to 4pm at Old Beyersville Hall sponsored by the Thunderbolts and Kontinentals car clubs welcoming ya’ll to town. This evening you can come pick up your registration packets, or register your car at the Expo Center from 5-7pm (please don’t come early - we are doing set-up!) and Busty’s Bar & Jukebox is open all evening with preferred parking for vintage rides. Head down to Thr Continental Club, C-boy’s and Top Notch for some live music. Get up early tomorrow morning for the Round Up Garage Crawl starting in Dripping Springs at 7am and cruise together for a tour of cool local garages - before coming back for the big show! The beacon is lit! The 23rd Lonestar Round Up will be here SOON - April 17 & 18th at the Travis County Expo Center. Today (Wednesday) is the LAST day to register your ride online at lonestarroundup.com - so if you haven't registered yet, get over there and get it done! After today you will need to register in person at the gates of the show. The registration packets are all coming together - make sure your name is on one of them! Once you are confirmed, packet pickup starts tomorrow Thursday 16th at the Expo Center from 5-7pm, and continues Friday and Saturday as the show begins! neon by The Neon Jungle
