Hail doesn’t just leave a few dents - it creates a lot of work that isn’t obvious at first glance.

After a storm, vehicles can look like straightforward repairs, but the reality is much more involved. Every panel needs to be evaluated under proper lighting, the damage has to be fully mapped, and access often requires removing trim, lights, or other components. Some areas may qualify for paintless dent repair, while others require conventional repair and refinishing to restore the vehicle properly.

This is why initial hail estimates are only a starting point. The real process begins once the vehicle is in the shop and can be thoroughly inspected and blueprinting is completed. Cutting corners at this stage is how damage gets missed and repairs fall short.

Little sparks flying today

Before the new roof goes on this Amazon van, we’ve got to fix what’s underneath first. That means welding in a new roof corner panel so everything lines up and fits the way it should.

It’s one of those steps most people will never see once the job is done… but it’s a big deal in making sure the repair turns out right.

Big things are happening… again.

Yesterday, we got the keys to our newest location. This time, Stow.

Yeah… we know what you’re thinking.
“Solon Collision… in Aurora… and now Stow?”

We haven’t forgotten where we came from. Not even close. Solon is where this all started. But growth means bringing what we do to more people who expect their vehicle to be repaired the right way.

First step, we’re giving this space a complete overhaul. The goal is simple. Make it just as clean, comfortable, and professional as our Aurora customer area.

But this isn’t just another location.

It’s a completely different way to experience collision repair. A simpler, more convenient drop-off process backed by the same OEM-certified, precision-driven repairs we’re known for.

We’re just getting started.

Last week, our team completed steel MIG welding training and certification through I-CAR.

This isn’t just “practice” — this is the kind of work that directly impacts the strength and integrity of your vehicle in another collision.

Every weld matters.
Every setting matters.
Every technician matters.

We performed destructive testing, dialed in proper settings, and validated weld quality the right way — not guessing, not “good enough.”

Because when we repair a vehicle, it’s not about making it look right…

Some vehicles come and go…
Others stick around for the long haul.

This one belongs to a long-time customer of ours and it’s already well over 200,000 miles — and still looking great. That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when someone actually takes care of their vehicle.

Right now it’s getting some work done on the rear and a little time in the paint booth to keep it looking the way it should.

Maintenance matters.
Proper repairs matter.
And when you take care of your vehicle, it can take care of you for a long time.
