It’s that time of year again when we get a little nostalgic around here. Way back in 1924 on August 11 to be exact, a diesel repair shop, called LISCHKGE GARAGE began operating in downtown Aurora, Indiana. To put this in perspective, here are a few other historical facts to ponder from 1924: America only had 48 states. A gallon of gas cost 13-25 cents. Wheaties cereal was introduced to
the public and the first ever Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was held. Back in that era, the heavy-duty AC "Bulldog" and medium-duty AB models sported solid rubber or early pneumatic tires.
These tough old Macks looked very different, but were impressing America’s burgeoning work force and would carry the brand’s name well into the next century.
Lischkge Motors Inc., now in the capable hands of the third generation is continuing the hard work started by their grandfather, Clayton. Two years ago, on August 9, 2024, we celebrated a Century of hard work! It was a great day full of friends, customers, awesome Mack Trucks, prizes, vendors, and great food from Hankering Southern Kitchen down in Aurora! Enjoy a few memories from that day as we celebrate 102 years in business. “Thank You” to all of our fantastic Customers and our excellent Team of Employees.
