Macuch Craft Designer/Builder of custom aluminum flats boat designed for shallow running.

Alright, I finally got this monologue right on take number five!

This is Valspar Industrial’s Cleanable Hardener. Originally designed for anti-graffiti applications, this hardener takes our paint system to another level.

It creates a harder, more durable finish that helps resist swirl marks, makes cleaning easier, and provides some of the same benefits you’d expect from a ceramic coating.

Just another way we’re pushing the limits of what an aluminum boat can be.

Getting some primer laid down today! Painting is all about planning your order of operations. You have to think ahead about where you spray and when to keep a wet edge and avoid dry spots in the wrong places. A little strategy goes a long way toward a clean finish! Thank you Minorcanmarshhunter for holding my hand 😂

Paint is one thing, but preparation is everything.

A great paint system is only as good as the surface underneath it. That’s why every Macuch Craft hull goes through an extensive preparation process before it ever enters the paint booth.

We hot degrease, acid wash, and conversion coat every hull to create the foundation for a durable, long-lasting finish.

It’s a process very similar to what’s used in the aerospace industry to prepare aircraft for paint. Because a premium finish isn’t just about how good it looks on day one. It’s about how well it holds up years down the road.

Built to last generations.
