It’s A Fresh Update to our Pet Friendly Lineup! 🐶

We have some exciting news to share with our Pet Loving Campers who bring their Fur babies to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground!

We are retiring our beloved Pet Friendly camper rentals 54 and 55, and Welcoming Camper Rental 60 to the Pet Friendly Family!

Camper Rental 60 is newer and offers an upgraded larger bathroom, giving our guests and their fur babies an even more comfortable experience!

For the furry member of your family, the back bunkroom offers a great setup option. The lower bed can remain in an upright position allowing plenty of space for a dog crate (s). Having a comfy space of his/her own, a tv, additional Ac unit… talk about a doggy living his best resort life! 😆

Our Pet Friendly options will now include campers 56 and 60… ready to help you create unforgettable camping memories with the whole Family!!

Dear Disney…

As someone who has developed a deep appreciation for Butterflies, Hummingbirds, and all pollinators, I would like to share an idea that would be both educational as well as memorable for families visiting Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

As more families seek meaningful outdoor experiences, the creation of a PERMANENT Butterfly habitat and nature center located at the campground would be a perfect addition!
Although wonderful to see it at Epcot during the Flower and Garden Festival, I think families would greatly enjoy and benefit from a dedicated habitat where they could view the entire lifecycle while learning about conservation and Florida’s wildlife.

Such an exhibit would not only enhance the guest experience, but would serve as a lasting investment in our environment. It’s a great opportunity for kids to slow down, explore nature, and witness the metamorphosis while camping. Encouraging and fostering a love for nature is what it’s all about.

This weekend is all about Dad!!

To the Dads that say YES to the Camping trip!
Then lead the family bike rides, tell the stories, play checkers in front of the Settlement store, go fishing, carry the sleeping kids back to the campsite…
AND definitely earn the title of King of the Campfire grill!! 😎

A bit of up-to-date Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground info for you…

If you are interested in a canoe or kayak rental, they are currently unavailable due to the low water level. Orlando needs approximately a month of good rains before that will reopen. That means we are probably looking at late July.
But… there are other things to do.

The Recreation Activity sheet is for both June and July.
