Supporting future generations through leadership 🌟

Nicole Pageau, Supply Chain Manager at Martinrea, has been elected to the Ontario Council of Girl Guides of Canada. In this role, Nicole will serve a three-year volunteer term as an Elected Member, helping guide and implement programming for approximately 60,000 youth members enrolled in the Ontario Girl Guides program.

The Ontario Council plays an important role in supporting the organization’s mission, ensuring programs continue to provide valuable experiences and opportunities for youth across the province.

Dr. Mehdi Rahimian, Senior Manager of Advanced Technologies, who leads global R&D activities for our Aluminum Business Unit with a strong focus on lightweight structures and powertrain technologies, was named a winner of the 2026 Automotive News Europe Rising Stars Award in the Engineering category.

The award recognizes the automotive industry's most talented, innovative and promising young leaders from across Europe and beyond. Hosted this year by Toyota Motor Europe, the event brought together leading automotive professionals from both European and international OEMs.

Driving important conversations at the Canada Automotive Summit 🗣️

Martinrea was proud to be represented by two of our executives as speakers at the APMA Canada Automotive Summit, one of the industry’s premier events bringing together automotive leaders, innovators and decision-makers from across North America.

Rob Wildeboer, Executive Chairman, participated in a panel discussion focused on Canada’s defense industrial base, exploring industrial resilience, economic security and the role of Canada’s automotive supply chain in supporting sovereign manufacturing capabilities.

Kerri Pope, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, spoke in a panel examining the future of CUSMA and North American competitiveness, sharing insights on the challenges and opportunities facing automotive suppliers as trade discussions continue to evolve.

Martinrea wins first place in charity run! 🏅

Employees from our Slovakia location participated in a charity run organized by the REVIA, a foundation that supports the development and funding of local community projects. Eight employees joined the 5.5 km and 11 km races.

The team earned 3rd place in the women's 5.5 km race and was also recognized as the best overall team, winning 1st place! It was a great opportunity to support the community and strengthen team spirit between the team members.

Our Silao plant recently held their annual Health, Safety and Sustainability Fair, bringing awareness to workplace safety and employee well-being, as well as our shared environmental responsibility. The team had the opportunity to participate in various learning activities and get a quick general check up from the doctors on-site.

Making books accessible for everyone 📖

The trainees at Martinrea Bergneustadt replaced an old, damaged shelf at the public book exchange, helping to ensure the space remains clean, safe and accessible to the community. The team was pleased to welcome Matthias Thul, Mayor of Bergneustadt, who visited the site to see the project firsthand and expressed his appreciation for the trainee's dedication.
