1948 Tucker 335 engine and Y1 pre-select transmission fully rebuilt, tested and dialed in. This is the engine for Tucker #1029 (Preston Tuckers personal car) as we prepared it for the Pebble Beach Concours.

The car ran flawlessly in the Tour and won its class in the concours.

Following the excitement and jubilation of Tucker #1029 winning the 1st in Class award at the 2026 Pebble Beach Concours de Elegance, I felt it appropriate to thanks and recognize the wonderful, talented people that made it all happen.
Tremendous gratitude to: Matt Katz and Caretakers Collection for supporting our efforts in making #1029 the most accurately restored Tucker in existence.

Rob Ida and his exceptional team at Ida Automotive for bringing the body, paint and finishes to a level that showcases exactly what a Tucker should present like.

Mike and Sean Tucker at Preston Tucker, LLC for parts, research, documentation and historical reference.

And my entire extraordinary team at Nostalgic Motoring Ltd for conquering the challenge of everything mechanical, electrical and interior.

It truly took a village of talented individuals with the shared goal of bringing Preston Tucker’s personal car back to life in a way he could only dream of.
