An Important Update from Epic Slot Car Raceway
Unfortunately, the City of Dallas has revoked our business approval to operate both the slot car track and lighting showroom from the same building. After months of preparation, we had just finished setting everything up and were ready to open—only to receive a notice the very next day, taped to the door.
We truly tried to work with the city and adjust to make things happen for our racers and the community, but they were unwilling to compromise or offer a path forward.
As a result, we moved everything out this past weekend. The track is now safely in storage as we look for a new, better-suited location.
With Epic Custom Lighting heading into its busiest season this fall, we’ve made the decision to pause and delay the reopening of the track until early 2026. We’ll keep everyone updated on Facebook, Instagram, and our website once we have more to share. We appreciate the continued support—and we’ll be back.

Update:
We are ready to open with the HUGE exception that we do not have an operational track. Unfortunately, after about 20 hours of our time and 5 other people assisting we’ve still not been able to get the tracks software and timing system to work. The good news is we have a new system on the way to be installed in about a week. However, we do plan to be open friday for just open practice! We will post an update friday morning to confirm.
