These were not honest mistakes or policy disagreements. They used the machinery of government to target a political opponent, launder opposition research into official investigations, and keep the public in the dark about what they were doing.
Clinton’s campaign paid for the dossier that helped justify FISA surveillance. Comey privately documented conversations and then leaked them to force a special counsel. Obama officials approved unmasking and allowed a counterintelligence probe to proceed on thin, politically tainted evidence.
When power is turned against the voters and the Constitution itself, it is not a process error. It is a betrayal of the oath they took. The country is still living with the damage. Accountability is overdue.
