This song shows the struggle of a local family. I definitely believe it needs attention and to be listened to with the volume up. The page itself is new but really informative. Anyway. Take the less than 5 minutes it takes to listen and if it resonates with you share it with anyone you know that is also struggling with these issues.

Today is Election Day — Your Vote Matters on Jackson Lake

May 19, 2026 — Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM across Butts, Jasper, and Newton counties.
Local decisions made in county commission races, judicial seats, and higher offices directly impact zoning and development near Jackson Lake, property taxes, water quality protections, roads, and recreational access.
One of the most important races on the ballot is for the Georgia Supreme Court. The decisions made by these justices affect everything from property rights and business regulations to criminal justice and election law — issues that touch every lake homeowner and boater. With contested seats on the ballot, today’s vote can shape Georgia’s highest court for years to come.
Recommended picks for our area:
• Natalie Sundeen for Superior Court Judge
• Mike Collins for U.S. Senate
• Bret Dunn for Georgia State Senate (in his district)
• Burt Jones for Governor
No matter who you support, the most important thing is to get out and vote today. Every voice counts, especially in local and statewide races that affect our quality of life around Jackson Lake.
Polls close at 7 PM. Need help finding your polling location or sample ballot? Visit mvp.sos.ga.gov or contact your county elections office.
Let’s make our voices heard for a strong, thriving Jackson Lake community!
