I still need to adjust the valve lash and set timing, but I am pretty happy for “ballpark“ settings

The NE GA Swap Meet's Fall 2-Day Show is Friday and Saturday, October 3-4 at the Habersham county fairgrounds in Clarkesville, Ga.

Spaces are $75 for the weekend for all the space you want.

Vendor spaces get you and a helper in for the weekend.

Camping in your space is allowed, at no additional charge.

Spectator entry is $10

Set-up is Friday at 7am, and gates open on Saturday at 7am. Show wraps up at some point in the afternoon... it's pretty much when the vendors run out of customers--so plan on getting there early!

Tue property all be secured overnight, so leave your stuff set up.

We are encouraging two-day vendor participation, but if you only want to set up on Saturday it will be $50 for all the space you need.

We've had a lot of vendors from Georgia and surrounding states say they're coming, so plan on loading the trailer and bring a bunch, too!

There will also be a car show, to benefit the Boys And Girls Club. All proceeds from show car entries will go towards the Boys and Girls Club.

Car show will be held in the main pavilion building, with overflow outside.

Payment for spaces and show entry will be at the gate.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call me at (706) 424-5035!

A little history

On August 29, 1871, Charles F. Kettering was born.

Kettering grew up near Loudonville, OH and graduated from The Ohio State University with an engineering degree. In 1909, Kettering founded Delco, an electronics design company that allowed Kettering to show off his talents with inventions like the electric self-starter, portable electric generator and vehicle lighting. These breakthroughs caught the attention of General Motors, and it acquired Delco as a subsidiary in 1916. Kettering continued his work, and in 1920, he became a GM vice president and head of research, positions he would hold until his retirement in 1947.

Kettering amassed over 140 patents throughout his life and was inducted into both The Automotive Hall of Fame in 1967 and the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1980.
