NOT ALL BATTERIES ARE UNDER THE HOOD!

Some battery replacements are a little more complicated than others, but that’s no problem for our crew!

Our technician Axel knocked out this Dodge Journey battery replacement like a pro!

Believe it or not, Dodge decided to hide the battery behind the driver’s side wheel well. That means removing the wheel and accessing the battery through the wheel-well area just to replace it!

🚫 Most auto parts stores won’t touch these types of battery installations. BUT WE WILL!

And Dodge isn’t the only manufacturer hiding batteries in unusual places! Depending on the vehicle, batteries can be located:

🔋 Under the driver’s seat

🔋 Inside the trunk

🔋 Beneath the rear seat or floorboard

🔋 Behind wheel-well liners

🔋 And plenty of other hard-to-reach locations!

Another truck back to work!

Today we helped out J&C Dreamscape, a local landscaping business, with their diesel Ram 3500 dually.

One battery had failed, but on these diesel trucks the two batteries work together as a dual-battery system. When one battery goes bad, the best practice is to replace both batteries as a matched pair. Putting one brand new battery next to an older, weaker battery can cause the new one to work harder and shorten its life.

While we were there, we also took care of some corrosion on the battery terminals, cleaning everything up so the new batteries had a clean, solid connection.

I don’t say this enough, but I really want to take a minute to recognize Daniel and let people know just how much he means to Dawgs Roadside Rescue.

Ever since Daniel joined the team, he has proven himself to be one of the hardest working and most dependable people I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with.

He’s the kind of person who will stay late, come in early, take the extra call, drive the extra miles, and do whatever it takes to make sure the customer is taken care of. He never looks for the easy way out. He just gets the job done and makes sure it’s done right.

What impresses me the most isn’t just how good of a tow truck operator he is, it’s how he treats people. His customer service is second to none. He genuinely cares about the people we help, and our customers can feel that.

When you’re building a business, you realize pretty quickly that you can’t do everything by yourself. You need people around you who care about the company, the customers, and the reputation just as much as you do.

Daniel is one of those people.

I can honestly say Dawgs Roadside Rescue would not be where it is today without the work he has put in. I trust him to represent my company, take care of our customers, and get the job done and that means more to me than I can put into words.

I am proud to have him representing Dawgs.

The Roadside Rescue Radio Podcast is all about helping drivers stay safer and more prepared on the road. We’ll be covering roadside safety, vehicle tips, what to do during common emergencies, and things we’ve learned from years of helping stranded motorists.

🇺🇸 What a great way to celebrate the 4th of July! 🇺🇸

Our Dawgs Roadside Rescue 4th of July Bash was a huge success! We had an awesome time enjoying great food, shooting fireworks, playing games, and spending time together as a team.

I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who came out and, more importantly, to our incredible team for all of their hard work and dedication every day. It’s because of your commitment to serving our community that we’re able to celebrate accomplishments like this together.
