Ford is recalling nearly 1.4 million F 150 trucks in the United States due to a transmission issue that could cause a sudden loss of control. The problem can trigger an unexpected downshift into second gear, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects models built between March 2014 and August 2017 with a six speed automatic. Ford has reported two injuries and one accident possibly linked to this issue.
