Affective Immediately:
Dirt Karting Series saturation in North Florida/ South Georgia region is at an all-time high. We have always centered our values on what is most beneficial to the sport, and we feel it will be best for the karters in the region as a whole to cancel the upcoming 2024 Hurricane Championship DIRT Series.
We started the HCS dirt series when there was a void for a Maxxis touring series in the area, and now that void has been filled by many. Scheduling 60 events in 36 weekends is a logistical nightmare for all of those involved, and that is not considering rain out dates. We hope to ease that burden on everyone by taking HCS out of the mixture.
We appreciate each and every one of you who have supported us over the years, and we wish you nothing but the best in your upcoming endeavors.
Thank you specifically to our staff, racers, and sponsors who helped make HCS successful.
I'm sure we will see all of you around the track from time to time, and we may do a "one-off" dirt event in the future, but we feel this is the best decision for karting as a whole in the region.
Last year's point award winners:
Awards have been ready. We will coordinate with each driver to ensure those are dispersed.
Again, we appreciate all of you who have supported the HCS Dirt Series, and if you're hungry for some racing HCS style, we will still have our HCS Black Top Series for 2024, and we hope you can come join us for one!!!
Thanks
Aly & Josh Antley
