Headlights corrode and turn foggy and white due to damage from the sun. Very few cars can economically replace them. It can run from $500 to over $2,000.
Especially if they have integrated electronics.
After market light assemblies are available and sometimes they workout. But you run into fitting issues, they won't come with the integrated electronics and can be labor intensive to install.
Some won't adjust.
In most cases, restoring the original lights is the clearer choice. Minimal cost, work completed in about an hour. Can be done at your home or office.
Retains original assemblies, no need to adjust, no need to disassemble the front end ( required on most cars to replace lights )

This is why I don't clear coat headlights.
Over time the clear lifts and peels.
Now, all of it has to be removed and the headlight restored to factory new condition.
I'd rather do a once a year touch up then deal with this

Two nearly identical Honda fits. I restored headlights on the one on the left. They came out looking like glass. Actually worse than the one on the right.
I charge $100 per car and get outstanding results.
