Finally decided to bite the bullet and do a tear down on one of the three ecoboosts that I’ve bought for the kart. This one had decent compression and just had a leaky head-gasket and rear main seal. Wound up cleaning up nicely. Maybe I’ll get some use out of this one.

Finally made it to pine hill! Season opener for the . The cart has been quite an adventure to get it here from just a roller to a race car in 4 months. Engine is a 2.0 ford ecoboost, transmission from a 2012 nc miata and the factory Torsen.

What an amazing event with Highlands Sports Car Club. Record turnout for Franklin NC with 79 racers. I can’t say enough about how great our officers are and how smooth the event went.

This was the second event for the ecoboost kart also the second engine and turbo. This time it didn’t get pushed on the trailer to leave it left with all four cylinders and its first FTD! It also got its tech stamp to go hill climb and time trial racing!

For those that haven’t heard my spec sheet yet. It’s a 2.0 ford ecoboost out of a ford fusion. Precision 5858 and manifold from CP-E. JEM sport ecu and wiring harness. 2012 nc miata 6 speed and the rest is either 1990 miata or custom fab by me. Oh and painted by my beautiful wife Krystal!

Tried a new camera angle to try and catch the wheel pickup I’ve been having. Another amazing autocross and a fastest time of the day for the kart.

Man what a weekend! This was my third time to Chasing the Dragon Hillclimb with and it was quite the race! Had a close race with and in outlaw. Wound up taking home 3rd place in class and I believe 6th overall. Not to shabby for a 200hp car on a power course. Thanks to everyone that makes this all possible.
